SMASHING Pumpkins frontman and former TNA Wrestling president Billy Corgan has today reached a deal with the National Wrestling Alliance to purchase the name, rights, trademarks to the NWA as well as the rights to use, and possession of, the NWA World Heavyweight Championship belt which was held in the past by such champions as Ric Flair, Harley Race, Dusty Rhodes and Sting.
This marks the return of Corgan to the sport of Professional Wrestling, following his messy departure from TNA/Impact Wrestling late last year.
It is unkown what Corgan's plans for the NWA are at this time, however Official Wrestling would like to wish him the best of luck.
